M.R.E. uses many different types of balancers depending on an engines horsepower level. We use ATI Super Dampers strictly on any of our race engines, simply because they are the best. We also offer many other styles of balancers for the lower horsepower levels from some companies such as:

They offer a very good inexpensive balancer for the lower budget guys, SFI approved and non SFI, for many different applications. We use these on the 400-600 hp level engines that do not require alot of rpm.

These types of balancers are an excellent choice for slightly modified engines.

We can also get the factory type replacement balancers for guys that want the stock look and do not need anything fancy. Factory original balancers that are usually and bad shape due to weather and age, and most have the rubber ring starting to unbond from the inner and outer core. We use these on stock to very slightly modified engines.

Most of all the balancers sold do have some sort of timing marks scribed in them to make timing adjustments alot easier and more precise. We ALWAYS phase the balancer to exact TDC with a degree wheel for exact, true timing. All we need to know when ordering is if it is for an internal or external application, SFI or non SFI, intended rpm and horsepower level. If you are unsure of what to use, give us a call, we will have a balancer for your application.
