MRE offers a wide variety of camshafts for any combination. We design each and every camshaft to fit your individuall requirements, as every engine combination is completely different. We are not saying off the shelf type camshafts do not work, because we have used them as well with excellent results. However when you are looking for every last bit of horsepower and torque, we strive on finding that in the correct cam timing for each and every engine. Most cam companies do not offer the same type of help, as they are reading the same catalog you are, and reading the same "requirement footnotes" you can. That is why 3 different phone calls to the same company with 3 different salesman will give you 3 different grinds to use. How does an engine need 3 types of camshafts for 1 given combination? We take many factors into place and pride ourselves in choosing the correct cam for any application. We do NOT just call up and ask for cam requirements, but we in fact weigh out all the parameters of your engine, as well as drivetrain and the car itself to get you the best performing camshaft we can for you horsepower goal. It is not all about stuffing the biggest camshaft with the longest valve timing events into an engine for that killer sound, or for that 9,000rpm redline. We have proven time and time again with our combinations that it is not all about the peak numbers and the hype, but it is the entire overall combination.Most combinations out there are running the wrong camshaft or can benefit from one that is ground correct and specific for their application. There is alot more to it than duration and lift numbers. Even though we are a dealer for Bullet Cams, we do use some Comp grinds as well as Lunati. Anyone looking to have us setup a camshaft for them, feel free to call Joe at the shop and he will go over the entire setup with you, just make sure you have all the information handy to make it go faster.
