MRE will now be offering some of our proven combinations for
sale. We did not want to get into the "Crate Engine" wars being
offered from other companies with glorified power and fake warranty offerings,
but rather offer some real good powerful and reliable engines that have been
proven over the years to win races. Our engines will reflect quality parts
that we sell and use in all of our engines, so these combinations will not
be sacrificed with budget parts or parts purchased in bulk to sell off in
lower dollar packages. The same design and attention to detail will be put
in these engines as all of our custom style engines would get. We don't believe
in skimping anywhere in the engine to sacrifice power and reliability for
lower prices. If you are looking for low buck crate style engines with basic
parts that just get by with the power they make, then these are not the engines
for you. Our prices will reflect good parts that will be reliable enough to
run on motor and with a power adder. We will have 4 versions of engines available,
and we will stick with specific combinations at first. If you plan on compareing
prices, keep in mind you get what you pay for. Our prices will reflect the
parts used, the power made, and in some cases, may include more to the engine
than others will charge extra as "add ons". Below is a list of the
4 versions we will offer. Keep checking back as we will be adding more packages
as time goes on. Please note, all of our combinations listed here will have
either a newer block or an aftermarket block. We will not be using stock blocks
in these engines due to limited quantity of them. Anyone wanting a stock block
piece will need to supply one.
1: MRE Basic Short Block:
MRE prepped block, MRE balanced rotating assembly installed. (Clearances
application specific)
2: MRE
Complete Short Block: The same as our basic
only it includes an MRE custom ground camshaft,(degreed in), with a timing
cover, adjustable pointer,Billet roller timing set,Balancer,( also degreed
in), Canton oil pan, MRE modified Melling oil pump,Hardened pump rod,and matching
pickup.
3:MRE Basic Long Block:
This will consist of one of our proven custom combinations with an MRE prepped
block, balanced rotater, MRE custom camshaft, complete valvetrain, Canton
oiling system,MRE custom fabricated billet rail valve covers w/logo, and an
MRE top half. *All parts chosen will be application specific.
4:MRE Complete Long Block: Everything
you see above, but includes a waterpump, complete ignition, and carburetor.

All prices for each manufacturer are different, depending
on which block is used. Please call for our current pricing, being sure to
specify which version you want, manufacturer, and cubic inch.
Parts:
All of our Hot Street and Bracket applications will use Eagle
4340 rotating assemblies with SRP pistons except our 415-454 sbc and the 632
BBC. These will consist of a Callies crank and Lunati Pro Mod rods with MRE
design pistons. Due to this, the cost will be slightly higher. We can substitute
the Eagle stuff for any rotater at a slightly added cost.
The only add on we will offer is the use of
a vacuum pump. We offer this because even though there is power to be had,
alot of street guys who want our pump gas combinations do not want to spend
the added money, so we will leave it as an option for them. Our Bracket combinations
come standard with them on the MRE complete Long Block option.
